Celebration Weekend—Parade & School Fair (8-7-12)

Just a few days ago, many people must have anticipated this weekend being a wash-out. Yet, all the events of the weekend went off without a hitch and with little more than a few drops of rain.

Well done, and thanks, to the many people involved with the planning of events and to those who worked hard on the day to make sure it all happened. You don't realise, until you have done it, just how much physical and nervous energy is needed!

The Sports We Love (8-7-12)

In St Giles Church there was a wonderful display of artwork by children at our Primary School.

On display boards were paintings by children of all ages: the theme was, 'The Sports We Love'.

In the windows were 'Olympic Torches' they had made which made a colourful display with the light shining through them.

It was clear that a lot of hard work had been put in by the childeren (and their teachers).
