A Sign of the Times (1-3-11)
It is the first day of March. Turning over a page of the calendar may not have changed life in our village, but it has resulted in a welcome change of appearance.
This photo is of the brand new village sign on Fern Road: looks really classy doesn't it?
The Creamery has given financial support to numerous village functions over the years and it is nice to see the relationship between village and famous family business cemented in the sign.
Let's hope drivers take note of the bottom line!

Cold Beauty all around us (9-2-11)
It has been fairly warm the last few days and memories of the perishing weather just before Christmas are fading. But reminders like the pictures below will send a shiver down the spine of most villagers.
On those coldest of days when the wise thing to do was stay indoors in front of a warm fire, Jim Robinson was out with his camera capturing the local atmosphere beautifully. And grateful we are that he did.
Should be a sell out! (3-2-11)
