Snow brings a new aspect to everyday life (3-2-09)

It costs no money but brings with it the chance for adults to share stories of past snow falls. It gives young children the chance to see it for real - sometimes for the first time in their life.
Few teenagers were saddened by the news that Toot Hill School would be closed for the day and probably got more out of snowballing and building snowmen in the freezing conditions than studying from books - for one day anyway.
Here are a few pictures taken around the village. I am sure that Australian relatives, in particular, will enjoy the cold white stuff: I believe it was 46C there yesterday!
