Annual Parish Meeting (24-5-08)
It was the Annual Parish Meeting on Thursday 22nd May. Students from Nottingham Trent University were displaying their ideas and models of how our 'Old School' building might be converted into a Community Building with modern facilities. The Chief Executive of Rushcliffe Council, Allen Graham, described his role to us and then, after a cup of tea, Phil Palmer (Head of Cropwell Bishop School) explained how the link with a School in Japan came into being. He also showed a fascinating video of Cropwell Bishop and Japanese children learning about each others lives in their own school and country. Alan Wilson (Chairman of Cropwell Bishop Council) then gave an upbeat report on progress in our own Village.
