Boxing Day Walk (26-12-14)
There were 36 people on today's 'Boxing Day Walk'. We followed the, now, traditional route to Colston Bassett and its Hall and Old Church.
It may have been a bit soft underfoot but the strong winds of recent days had gone so, in spite of being about 4 degrees C, it was pleasant walking.
Thanks to Lance Thorpe for the photos.

Bishop-Butler Delights (19-10-14)
It might be nearly November but there can still be glorious, warm, sunny weather for us to enjoy—and this morning had it all.
Seventeen members of the Cropwell Bishop Walking Group enjoyed it all as we made our way along the Canal and then across fields to Cropwell Butler.
Making the most of out-of-the-way footpaths, we explored the back streets and then Sheldon Field and the lovely Nature Trail that goes around its edge. As we cut across fields to join the Butler-Bishop road, we avoided disturbing the long-horned cattle who, thankfully, were happy to gaze at us.
If you want to be notified of when the next Walk is taking place, send me an email and I will put you on the emailing list.
